Precision measuring for segment moulds

The precision required for the manufacture of moulds used for the casting of tunnel lining segments is frequently not stated; the tender documents for a typical segmentally lined tunnel project only giving the dimensional tolerances for the finished segments. In some cases however, only the tolerances for a sample build of two test rings is given.
