It highlights how planning, risk sharing and the development and implementation of new technology has led to successful completion of the John Pier Tunnel in the north west of England.

Project Orwell: flood relief in IPSWICH

To comply with the EU Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, which comes into force on January 1 2001, AMEC Tunnelling and Anglian Water have joined forces under a partnering agreement and embarked upon a major flood relief scheme in Ipswich in the south east of England.
