On August 21, 2013, amidst a crowd of proud team members, "Mackenzie", the 1,500- ton (1,361 metric tons) Herrenknecht TBM completed its journey and broke into Shaft 5 of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District's Euclid Creek Tunnel. Two years later the project is now in site-restoration and the NEORSD can reflect on what has become known as one of the most successful projects in their storied 43-year history.
