Nancy Creek begins boring

25 July 2003

The first of two Robbins TBMs started making headway on the 14km long Nancy Creek sewer tunnel in Atlanta, US, this month.

The refurbished 5.6m diameter TBM previously bored a 16.3km long drive on the Chattahoochee tunnel in Cobb County, US. It broke through in October 2002.

The second refurbished Robbins TBM's arrival on site is imminent and should start boring at the beginning of September.
