Mild winter results in early growth for Strabag

Strabag announced its Q1 results on Tuesday. The construction company generated an output volume of EUR 2.31bn (USD 3.32bn), which represented a growth of 26 per cent.

Strabag noted that growth was particularly strong in the transportation infrastructures segment of its business.

“The first quarter of the previous year was characterised by a very long and hard winter,” said Strabag CEO Hans Peter Haselsteiner. “This year’s weather conditions allowed us to begin building significantly earlier, which is why we are pleased to report of double-digit growth of the output volume.”
