Jacobs board names CEO

The Jacobs Associates board of directors has elected current executive vice president Daniel Adams as president and chief executive officer (CEO), positions currently held by William Edgerton.

Adams will be the sixth president of Jacobs Associates in the firm’s 57-year history. The bulk of his 22-year career has been in underground construction.

“For this point in the company’s development, Dan Adams is the right person at the helm, and I’m glad to pass the baton to him at this time,” Edgerton said. “His commitment to the advancement of the underground industry will be critical to Jacobs Associates’ continued success over the coming years.”

Edgerton will assume the position of the board’s chairman.??

??Adams joined Jacobs Associates in November 1995, and has served as executive vice president since 2010.
