BASF Construction Chemicals is now MBCC Group
8 October 2020Following its recent acquisition in September by an affiliate of Lone Star, a global private equity firm, the BASF Construction Chemicals business will now be known as MBCC Group.
The new entity has morphed out from the BASF Group over the past 18 months and is now a fully standalone organisation. It began operations on 1 October 2020.
MBCC Group is a leading supplier of construction chemicals and solutions worldwide, offering a varied product range across different sectors, including underground construction, buildings and structures, new construction and renovation. The group is also a major supplier of admixture systems in the highly fragmented construction systems market.
A main focus for the group is the delivery of innovative, sustainable solutions, particularly in the digital realm. It has a large BIM portfolio for the construction industry, with over 700 building information modelling (BIM) objects and a steadily-growing object database.
With more than 30,000 customers and business partners globally, the group has around 70 legal entities and roughly 7,500 employees and construction experts in over 60 countries. Headquartered in Mannheim, Germany, the company also has regional headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio, US (Americas), Dubai, UAE, (Middle East-Russia-Africa), and Singapore (Asia Pacific).
