Baby Creek

Michigan based Jay Dee Contractors has been awarded the construction contract for the Baby Creek Combined Sewer Overflow project in the United States. Client, the Detroit Water & Sewage Department awarded the contract for the 100m pipejack at the end of May. Excavating beneath an active railway line, the contractor will use a Lovat machine to install a 3.15m diameter steel casing. The TBM will be used in semi-closed and closed modes as mixed ground conditions containing boulders are expected.
