Aecom appoints executive vice president for water in the Americas

Marshall Davert joined Aecom this month as executive vice president, responsible for the water business line in the Americas.

Based in the Dallas office, Davert will oversee the performance, strategic direction and growth of the company’s water business in all areas, including water, wastewater, water resources and community infrastructure in the Americas.

“We are delighted to welcome Marshall,” said Rob Andrews, Aecom global managing director, water. “His experience leading mega global water projects will be vitally important as we continue to expand Aecom's Water business line.”

Davert has more than 25 years of experience on global water projects, including planning, design, construction, implementation and management. His most recent position was with water consulting and construction services firm MWH. While based in Sydney, Australia, Davert was president of the company’s Asia-Pacific division.

A registered professional engineer, Davert has a bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics from San Diego State University, and both a master’s of science and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in civil engineering. Davert has also completed the Harvard Business School General Manager Program. He has been active with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Geophysical Union (AGU), and he was one of the founding directors of CalWater, a political action committee advocating for legislative and financial support of critical water resources projects throughout California.
