Registration opens for 2025 Not-a-Boring Competition

Registration is now open for teams to take on the challenge to “beat the snail”.

The 2025 competition, the fourth event to be held, will challenge competition teams over eight days and will be held in Bastrop, Texas.

The Boring Company will also continue to host three mini-competitions open to first-year teams that will take place during the same week as the full tunneling competition. The mini-competitions include a digging project, tunnel lining project, and navigation project.

The company announced on X on Monday that this year’s competition, held from March 25-31 in Texas, was won by Swissloop Tunneling from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology at the University of St Gallen ETH Zurich for its novel extruded tunnel liner.

Swissloop Tunneling won the innovation award in both 2021 and 2023.
