BTS October 2023 Meeting - Highway 401 & 409 Rail Tunnel Project, Toronto

October's British Tunnelling Society meeting will focus on the Highway 4012 & 409 Rail Tunnel project in Toronto.

Located in Toronto, Canada, the Highway 401 & 409 Rail Tunnel project comprises a 188 m long and 11 m high rail tunnel which passes under 21 lanes of traffic, with a low overburden.

This presentation will be delivered jointly by Dr. Sauer & Partners and STRABAG AG, and will provide an overview of the project, the design approaches and the construction.
