Brinckerhoff opens in Canada

USA’s Parsons Brinckerhoff opened a new office in Canada last month.

The company will co-locate with Balfour Beatty Capital, which opened its Canada office last year in Toronto.

Both companies are part of Balfour Beatty (BB), headquartered in London. Parsons Brinckerhoff is the professional services division of BB.

“The commitments of the federal, provincial and local governments to unprecedented infrastructure development in Toronto make this an ideal time to open an office for the joint operations of Balfour Beatty Capital and Parsons Brinckerhoff,” said president and chief executive officer of Parsons Brinckerhoff George Pierson.

Parsons Brinckerhoff recently won five contracts in connection with the expansion of the light rail and subway systems in Toronto. Three of the five contracts are for the Toronto Transit Commission’s Transit City, a program for seven new light rail lines. Two contracts are for work on the Toronto-York Spadina subway extension.

The office, located at 488 Wellington Street West, was formally opened during a reception on March 24th at the CN Tower.
