California’s largest water agency endorses Delta tunnels

Federal agencies find California’s Delta Tunnel safe for endangered species

US – The Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) have both found the Delta Tunnel project, as proposed by the California Department of Water Resources and the Bureau of Reclamation, will not harm endangered species. The greenlight from each agency on June 26 is one of many needed to build two tunnels conveying water from the north to the south Delta.

London Underground Bond Street Station Upgrade Project (BSSU) is due for completion and open to public in April. In December’s British Tunnelling Society Meeting, the project was told from the perspective of the SCL designer and the contractor working in a one team environment. Through innovation and utilising the latest technology they pushed the SCL design boundaries and developed a safe system of work by minimising the impact on infrastructure while optimising the excavation times to create necessary additional underground space.
