Various media have reported that working conditions relating to air quality or stress were to blame, but this has been rejected by stakeholders. Reports of further investigation, or further details of the illness were not forthcoming from the contractor or client.

BTS announces Northumbria University meeting

The event will feature a talk on the topic: ‘Tunnelling Under 21st Century Building Structures: Bond Street Station Upgrade and the infamous case of Avon House’. Speakers will be Andy Clarke (for Costain Laing O’Rourke), Richard Totty (for Bachy) and Paul Perry (formerly of Halcrow Atkins JV.

HS2 signs Euston construction partner contract
