TBM acceptance was held on 29 August with construction company Pavimental representatives of client Autostrade per l'italia as well engineers and the Board of Herrenknecht in attendance.
The Santa Lucia tunnel will run for 7.5km through heterogeneous subsoil in the Appenines near Florence and will take three years to build.
