CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal in a meeting with the delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) said on 28 April that the civic body has a vision to promote commercial activities in the city. All issues of the business community would therefore be resolved on priority basis, he added.
Maroof Afzal said that the parking of vehicles is a major issue in the city and the CDA wants to resolve this problem at the earliest. For this purpose, the CDA has planned underground parking lots in two plazas and their designs have been finalised. The planning and designs for flyovers and underpasses have also been finalised and construction work would start soon.
