Brokk launches new platform for robot connectivity

9 November 2021

Brokk has launched the next version of an online platform for connecting demolition robots which is designed as a step up from the version launched in February 2021.

The updated platform Brokk Connect 2.0 is now available all over Europe and North America, and allows users to have access to real-time information about the robot’s location, its status, operational data and the need for attention.

Developed by Brokk, the online platform connects robots over a mobile network and includes new features to help manage fleet utilisation and optimise project planning.

This includes an always-on ‘geofencing’ functionality that helps Brokk owners keep control of their fleet of machines, assisting them in case of theft or unauthorised use. Also, users can now customise the platform according to their needs. And a new weekly status report provides a robot update, alerting owners if anything needs attention.

Brokk said it can also monitor machines on behalf of owners, checking status, troubleshooting any issues remotely and maximising machine uptime. The system is available on all new robots and can also be retrofitted to older models.
