T&T confirms media partnership for WTC2023

WTC2023, organised by the Greek Tunnelling Society, will be held at the Megaron international conference centre from May 12-18, 2023. The annual congress is the premier event of the International Tunnelling Association (ITA-AITES).

The theme of WTC2023 is “Expanding Underground”, focusing on the knowledge and passion the industry offers to make a positive impact on the world. It will highlight the multiple advantages and solutions that underground space can provide, and the opportunities smart technology offers for investigation, design, construction and operation methods and strategies.

All papers submitted for WTC2023 will be peer reviewed and all accepted papers made available on an open access portal.

WTC2023, which will be a hybrid event, will also feature a large exhibition of international tunnelling industry companies.

The programme will start with the ITA-TECH’s training courses on May 12-13, while the main congress activities will take place from May 15-17.

During the whole congress week, all regular annual ITA activities, such as general assemblies, will be held, along with meetings of the working groups and ITA committees. There will also be a range of field trips.

Away from the conference, Athens will offer delegates an array of history, art, culture, lifestyle and entertainment.
