HS2 signs Euston construction partner contract

19 March 2019

Great Britain – Mace/Dragados will deliver the High Speed 2 (HS2) terminus at London Euston. It will act as a construction partner, working with HS2 and the station designers, to coordinate the building of the new station, including platforms, concourse and links to London Underground and other rail services.

The contract begins the 19-month procurement process for Euston contracts to a close. Mace/Dragados will join HS2’s existing early works contractor, a Costain/Skanska joint venture (CS JV).

A spokesperson for HS2 said, “At Euston, demolitions are already well underway, with the former carriage sheds north of the station and site of the tunnel portals, cleared last year. Alongside demolitions, CS JV is also delivering ecological work and utility diversions, as well as the project’s pioneering archaeological programme across the southern section of the route. Once complete, HS2 will more than double capacity at Euston.”
