Working within the client engineering team you will, depending upon your experience, provide leadership or guidance for the heavy civil engineering infrastructure. Responsibilities include the establishment of the requirements, interface co-ordination, design assurance, obtaining approvals and as the project progresses, managing the preparation of tender documentation for construction leading to construction oversight.
As a highly competent civil engineer you will be experienced in the creation of underground space through a broad range of the design and/or construction of tunnels, cut-and-cover structures and shafts. For all roles you must be educated to degree level or equivalent.
For the Head of Tunnels, Shafts and Portals you will be chartered. As a minimum requirement for other roles you must be approaching chartered status. You will need to have good knowledge of safety and CDM regulations, and possess good communication and team working skills.
