Hatch wins role in SF's Transbay

9 August 2004

Hatch Mott MacDonald (HMM) has been selected as primary subconsultant to the URS Corporation for works on San Francisco's new Transbay Terminal project.

The US$2bn project will be the largest transit integrating hub west of New York when it replaces the existing terminal and provides access for all local bus and rail services.

The project scope includes a six level terminal building, viaducts and a 2.4km long underground station and extensions. HMM will manage programme development for the underground aspects, with work getting underway this month. The project is due to be completed by 2012.
