Radar systems planned for Mersey Tunnels

The Mersey Tunnels are set to be equipped with radar scanners called Automatic Incident Detection System, which will warn of potential danger on the roadways, local news reported. A plan to install the UK-made "NavTech ClearWay" in the Kingsway and Queensway Tunnels won approval by Merseytravel's Streategy and Finance Committee.
