Züblin-Hochtief to build Bremerhaven harbour tunnel

GERMANY - BIS Bremerhavener has commissioned a joint venture of Ed. Züblin AG (technical leader/JV share 37 per cent), HOCHTIEF Solutions AG (commercial leader/JV share 33 per cent) and Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH (JV share 30 per cent), to build the Cherbourger Straße harbour tunnel in Bremerhaven, Germany, the companies announced on September 11.

London's Bank station box fit-out awarded

GREAT BRITAIN - Transport for London (TfL) has awarded the contract to fit out the brand new Waterloo & City line station entrance 'box' at Bank to construction specialists Hochtief UK Limited. The contract will provide a new step free entrance at the station giving passengers direct access to the Waterloo and City Line from Walbrook Square.

Zublin/Hochtief to build Rastatt rail tunnel

GERMANY/SWITZERLAND - A joint venture led by Züblin and Hochtief was commissioned by DB Netz AG to deliver the shell construction of the "Rastatt Tunnel". The tunnel project is part of planning approval section 1.2 of the new railway route between Karlsruhe and Basel. The contract volume amounts to approximately EUR 312M (USD 417.6M).
