Six EPB machines from Kawasaki and two from Herrenknecht are now boring running tunnels for the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line in Bangkok. While the tunnel drives are generally in favourable ground conditions - stiff clay and dense sand - the EPB mode is usually being maintained to limit ground settlements.
