BTS announces Northumbria University meeting

The event will feature a talk on the topic: ‘Tunnelling Under 21st Century Building Structures: Bond Street Station Upgrade and the infamous case of Avon House’. Speakers will be Andy Clarke (for Costain Laing O’Rourke), Richard Totty (for Bachy) and Paul Perry (formerly of Halcrow Atkins JV.

Great Britain – The Riverlinx consortium is set to build the Silvertown Tunnel. The group comprises Aberdeen Standard Investments, BAM PPP PGGM, Cintra, Macquarie Capital and SK Engineering & Construction.

Atkins makes plans for Sweden’s first high speed rail mainline

Sweden – Atkins has been appointed by the Swedish Transport Administration to develop plans for the country’s first high speed rail mainline. The East Link project will include 30 tunnels ranging from 100m up to 6km, for a total length of 25km.
