WYG to rebrand as Tetra Tech

11 January 2021

UK professional services company WYG has announced it will adopt the name of its parent company Tetra Tech following its acquisition in 2019 by the US consulting and engineering firm.

The move will see the company’s 2,000 UK staff join Tetra Tech’s global team of scientists and engineers, currently totalling over 20,000 employees across 120 countries. As the newly rebranded global technical consultancy, the UK Tetra Tech team will work across the core specialisms it shares with its US parent, including transport, infrastructure, planning, defence and environmental services.

With a strong tunnels and geotechnical engineering offering, Tetra Tech has worked on numerous tunnel projects which include the Alaskan Way Viaduct, Seattle; Limerick immersed tube tunnel, Ireland; Rochester Hydroelectric Tunnel rebuild near Lake Ontario, and the Santa Ana River Interceptor Relocation project in Southern California.
