CCCI to buy Canadian contractor

China/Canada - Aecon has announced that it will be bought by CCC International. The agreement will see the Chinese company purchase all issued and outstanding Aecon shares for a total value of CAD 1.51bn (USD 1.2bn).

TBM Completes third bore for Chennai metro project
Wednesday, November 15, 2017 India - On October 31 a 6.65m diameter Robbins EPBM broke through at Chennai Metro, making this the third tunnel the machine has bored for the project and for contractor Afcons Infrastructure Ltd.
First TBM breakthrough in Lucknow
Wednesday, October 11, 2017 India - Crews celebrated breakthrough on the first TBM-driven tunnels in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A Gulermak-Tata Projects JV was the contractor for the project, which is part of the 22,88km Phase 1A of the Lucknow Metro North-South Line.

TBMs ready for Lucknow Metro project
Thursday, November 03, 2016 India - The TBMs set to bore the Lucknow Metro are in transit. The two 6.52m-diameter Terratec EPBMs will bore the city’s Phase 1A north-south line. The project consists of twin 1,812m-long tunnels. The TBMs will be launched and received at ramps.

Monday, February 15, 2016 SINGAPORE – The Environmental Impact Assessment for the stretch of Cross Island Line around the Central Catchment Nature Reserve has been issued. It concluded that the proposed site investigation works would cause ‘moderate impact’ on the few parts of the reserve where works are to take place.
