Australia-based contractor John Holland has opened a new office in Hobart, Tasmania. Newly appointed state manager Tom Finney will run the Tasmanian arm.

“Tasmania remains a key focus for our business, both in terms of emerging building and civil works in the infrastructure sector,” said Chris Evans, executive general manager of infrastructure on Friday. “The office opening today signals our long-term commitment to the market in Tasmania and reflects the confidence we have in projects we expect to emerge over coming years.”

David Moran, southern region general manager for John Holland said, “John Holland has a long and proud history in Tasmania […] we look forward to making an ongoing investment in the local economy and to working closely with our clients on the delivery of vital new social infrastructure,” he said.
