29 August 2019

Australia – The Cross River Rail project in Brisbane has awarded the second major contract, which is for the upgrading of seven stations, installing rail infrastructure in the tunnels and integrating the project with the existing network.

This ‘Alliance Agreement’ has been signed between the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority, Queensland Rail and the Unity consortium. The Unity consortium comprises CPB Contractors, UGL, Aecom and Jacobs, and partners HASSEL, RCS Australia, Acmena, Martinus Rail and Wired Overhead Solutions.

The project is to provide a new rail crossing of the Brisbane River, and take pressure off the existing bridge crossing.
