The Thai cabinet has approved plans for a 30bn baht (US$733M) high-speed railway between Bangkok and the capital’s replacement Suvarnabhumi International Airport, part of which will be built in tunnel. British engineering consultant, Ove Arup has won a contract from State Railways of Thailand for tunnel and station designs.
