Construction works are scheduled to begin immediately, with an expected completion date in 2018. The SCL will connect several existing railway lines to form two strategic railway corridors. The scope of work for Contract 1112, which is the seventh contract to be awarded to the company in the past three years, includes modification works to an existing MTR station, platforms, tunnel box and approach tunnels.
