Protan hires personnel for move to tunnelling
14 November 2019Norway/Turkey – Protan has hired Ardnt Hedtkamp to lead its tunnel business in Central Europe and Simen Aaserud as its business development manager. The Norwegian industrial group had acquired Turkish tunnel membrane manufacturer Multiplan in August.
The company said that the tunnelling industry would now become a key focus of its efforts, with production taking place at the newly-acquired facility in Istanbul.
Pa°l Fossum, Protan’s sales director for its Ventiflex brand said, “With a new production facility for tunnel membranes, we are able to deliver a larger range of products and solutions for the tunnel industry. Protan is an innovative force in many different business areas, providing environmental-friendly and high-quality solutions in roofing, wet rooms and fish-farming, and we look forward to unlock the same innovative forces with our own production line for tunnel membranes.”
