The Docklands Light Rail extension from London’s Docklands to Lewisham has opened two months ahead of schedule. The project involved construction of seven stations, two of them underground, and twin 4.5m diameter, 1.1km long bored tunnels under the Thames.Contractor on the bored tunnel was Nishimatsu and MBK Rail Link Construction.
