Leighton John Holland awarded Thomson Line contract

Leighton Asia, India and Offshore (LAIO), in a JV with John Holland, has been awarded a contract worth AUD 329M (USD 309.1M) from the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) for the Thomson Line project, it was announced today.
The contract requires the JV to construct spring leaf station and 2 kilometres of of twin-bored tunnel as part of the 30km Thomson line railway consisting of 22 stations and six interchange stations. When completed, the Thomson Line is expected to provide greater accessibility, significantly reducing travel time for commuters.

Construction works will commence immediately and is expected to be completed by 2020.
