John Burland to speak at TAC Alberta event

Canada – The Alberta Chapter of the Tunneling Association of Canada (TAC) and the Calgary Geotechnical Society are hosting a special lecture event on Monday, September 9, 2019. Select CGS chapters throughout Canada have invited Dr. John Burland to share his extensive experience through a lecture titled “A Tale of Two Towers – Big Ben and Pisa”.

Burland hails from Imperial College London, UK, and will be sharing innovative solutions to well known settlement cases. He is a respected voice in the world-wide geotechnical community and we are honoured to be receiving him this fall, a spokesperson said on behalf of TAC and CGS.

COST: CAD 50 for general admission; CAD 20 for students. Free street parking is available. Limited tickets will be available at the door for cash or cheque only. Pre-registration is required for general admission and students.
