The Docklands Light Railway extension in London, has won Major Project of the Year in The National Rail Awards 2000 in the UK. The extension involved a 1km long TBM driven twin bore tunnel under the River Thames. The Contracting team, including Nishimatsu and Mowlem completed the tunnel four months ahead of schedule.
