The contract was signed mid-January 2013. The contract was signed in the presence of Pierre Verzat, CEO of Systra Executive board, and the Egyptian PM and transport minister, and the French ambassador to Egypt.
Systra stated that it is a strategic contract as it consolidates the company’s 30-year old partnership with the NAT and confirms its
position as consultant to this authority, which is responsible for all metro projects in Egypt.
